Checkerboard, painted crooked on purpose

A tile floor in a coffee shop on Manhattan Avenue, brought in on a cracked phone screen. A stamped check is dead on the nail because every square is identical; this one is drawn square by square with a liner brush, so the grid wanders about a millimeter across each nail and the whole set moves. Ink Well over Chalk Line, three passes on the black to get an edge that does not fur.
